Beta Test of MigmaMidblock

Under FHWA (Federal Highway Administration) SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) Phse I/II funding, Migma has developed a product, MigmaMidblock, using stereoscopic technologies for the pedestrian detection at mid-block crossings and signalized intersections. Working with Mass Highway, this product has been fielded at a mid-block crossing in MA for over 6 months. It triggers the beacon flashers once pedestrians are detected in the detection zone. Its performance has been compared with both passive IR detector and microwave detector which are currently recognized as the two best candidates for outdoor pedestrian detections. Although stereo-vision-based pedestrian detection techologies have been studied over the past decades, there are currently no field-proven commercial stereoscopic products for pedestrian detections. MigmaMidblock represents the cutting edge technology for pedestrian detection in the outdoor environment, with better performance compared to existing techologies.

MigmaDVR

Migma has released its new product, MigmaDVRTM. This product is a sophisticated unattended security surveillance system. It utilizes Migma’s proprietary analytical video cueing technologies to capture and store moving objects, which makes it possible to record less amount of images in a typical computer hard drive over one year. It also includes a sophisticated video search software tool which, based on the size of objects of interest, is capable of condensing a large amount of saved videos into one video file for offline viewing and inspection. MigmaDVRTM is preconfigured and includes 8 high resolution cameras (540 TVL), an 8-channel video capture card, and a regular desktop computer. While its performance is better than most of the 8-channel DVR systems on the market, the overall system cost is much lower because of the use of regular desktop computer. Please visit our websiteL: http://www.migmasys.com/MigmaDVR.html to learn more about our product.
